The Virginia Poverty Law Center (VPLC) is a not-for-profit organization concentrating in the areas of law that affect low-income families. Established in 1978 to advocate on behalf of low-income Virginians on poverty issues of statewide importance, VPLC is the only state-wide organization providing training to local Legal Aid program staff, private bar attorneys, and low-income clients, relating exclusively to the legal rights of Virginia’s poor.

NOTES
Creating this brochure for VPLC was a fantastic collaborative project. Working with Thomas Johnson (who was generous enough to donate his photography) and printing the piece with ColorCraft (one of our favorite local printers) was a great chance to create a piece that helped raise funds for the Virginia Poverty Law Center.
VPLC has been in existence for over 30 years and its mission today, as it has been always, is to provide leadership, support, training, public education and advocacy to address the civil legal needs of Virginia’s low-income population. Virginia’s less fortunate need the services of VPLC and Legal Aid now as much as ever before and I hope that you will take some time to both read about the work that VPLC does and consider supporting us.
