When they started the Capital BookFest in Largo, MD in 2005, they never envisioned that their one-day, one-city community event would evolve into a multi-day, multi-city literary festival. Over the past seven years, they’ve presented nearly a thousand authors and exhibitors, partnered with almost a hundred sponsors, and met tens of thousands of children and families, all in the name of reading.

This was a thrilling project to work on. Gathering various photos and writings from many of Maryland and Virginia’s talented individuals was a difficult yet rewarding task.
